blast bags , as used in both open cut and underground blasting, are a self-inflating bag that, when activated and lowered down or placed up a blast hole, will seal off the blast hole, giving you an effective deck for loading explosives and/or stemming.
Our GasBag features a heavy duty scuff bag with an outer expansion sleeve allowing more time to locate before it grips the blast hole. For convenience it has a 10m built in measuring tape, saving you more time and money! It consists of an aerosol can which contains non-flammable, non-toxic gas. The aerosol can is inside two independently sealed gas tight bladders, designed to ensure the bags never leak or fail. This is all contained within a high visibility outer bag which protects the whole arrangement from damage. Excellent product for quick and safe hole plugging, void management, decking or creating permanent barriers in blast holes.
